I have just started fabricating an custom aluminium fuel tank for a Honda CB450, it’s part of a bigger, really interesting project that will see me fabricating mud guards and the seat base, all of which will be bare alloy.

These shots show early work in progress with me getting the position on the bike frame right including how it fits around frame tubes. The clearance above the engine was checked before the engine was removed.

The CB is an American import and was built in 1971, its going to be kinda Bobber meets Street Tracker when finished, if you can get your head around that.
